OneHockey, one of North America’s best tournament organizations, joins with AAU Hockey to create a new slate of one-of-a-kind tournaments to AAU members.ORLANDO, Fla. - The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is eager to announce the addition of OneHockey, to its distinguished resume of AAU Ice Hockey. The venture will add seven (7) new tournaments to 2021 AAU Hockey Spring and Summer season. Since 2003, OneHockey has been hosting the most organized, competitive and entertaining ice hockey tournaments in North America.
The AAU is the largest multi-sport event organizer in the nation, hosting 45 different sports and home to some of the world’s biggest events like the AAU Junior National Volleyball Championship and the AAU Junior Olympic Games. AAU Hockey boasts its own noteworthy North America “Light the Lamp” Championships and the newest addition of the Collegiate Hockey Federation Showcase.
“This partnership will bring a significant experience to our young athletes,” said Keith Noll, AAU Hockey National Chairman. “We at the AAU are always looking to provide the best experience to our membership. The atmosphere and structure of OneHockey will be an added benefit to the AAU brand.”
OneHockey’s outstanding reputation was first established by hosting AAA elite boys tournaments. Due to an increase in customer demand, they have grown from hosting just four (4) tournaments annually to more than 40, with two Minnesota events specifically targeted to ELITE AAA teams born in 2010, 2011 and 2012. OneHockey now proudly holds events for AAA, AA, A, B/House level, as well as girls, high school and adults. Players even have a chance to play internationally in France, Sweden, Slovakia and Russia.
“We are fully supporting the AAU program,” said Sebastain Fortier, OneHockey Founder and CEO. “We want to make sure that our players, coaches and families are properly taken care of as far as if anything happens, and with AAU, it was a no brainer to us. We are very excited about having all of our spring and summer events with AAU Hockey.”
Fortier is no stranger of the rink. A left-winger for eight (8) years in the NHL, he took it upon himself to revolutionize the hockey tournament experience. Now, a OneHockey tournament goes above and beyond our average tournament. In 2018, they were rated the number one youth ice hockey tournament in North America by Culturama. OneHockey provides a game-like atmosphere that is like no other. They decorate the facility, have festive music between games, bring in a mascot for the little kids. One Hockey also interviews a Player of the Game, awards a version of the Stanley Cup to tournament champions along with non-alcoholic bubble beverages.
